The Guyana Police Force (GPF) yesterday announced that all four lines of the 911 emergency system are now in working order.
Last week the Police stated that there were some difficulties with the system as two of the four lines were not working. This was affecting incoming calls to the 911 system.
The Force also wishes to inform the public that a recent decision has been taken by the administration that reports of any nature can now be made to the police through the telephone. Previously, when dealing with reports of a serious nature, members of the public were advised to go personally to a police station.
