Datadin said Hughes is also representing Sharma and there will be some amount of bias if the case continues before Magistrate Chandan-Edmond.

However, he asked that the case be transferred to a Court where he is allowed to practice, as he will continue to represent the magistrate, which is public knowledge.
Datadin said that he is obligated to raise an objection and it is the responsibility of the Court to make a decision.
The magistrate said she will do so on the next occasion.
Sharma and Ali are accused of offering inducements to the female at the centre of a carnal knowledge case in which Sharma is charged.
