– Post Mortem to be conducted later this week
A 56-year-old employee of Guysons Engineering Company was discovered dead in the compound of the business premises around 7:00 hrs yesterday morning.
Dead is Lochan Singh Ramdin who was employed with the company for more than 18 years and who, at the time of his death, functioned as a store-man.
This newspaper was informed that the deceased, who also performed the duties of caretaker around the compound, was provided with living accommodation on the premises where he died.
Assistant Accountant, Michael Simmons, who could not say how Ramdin met his death nor comment on his state of health prior to his death, however confirmed that the body bore no marks of violence.
Simmons said that when workers turned up for work around 7:00 h, they discovered Ramdin’s lifeless body lying on the ground in the compound.  Management was immediately alerted and the police summoned.
The body was transported to the Georgetown Public Hospital where Singh was officially pronounced dead before being transferred to the Lyken Funeral Home.
A post mortem examination is to be performed later this week.
