-appointments to be confirmed in Regions Two and Five
HEAD of the Presidential Secretariat (HPS) Dr. Roger Luncheon, at a post-Cabinet media briefing yesterday, disclosed that ongoing appointments to senior positions in the Administration were discussed and approved by Cabinet.
The current Permanent Secretary (PS) of the Legal Affairs Ministry, Colin Croal has been reassigned as the PS of the Ministry of Amerindian Affairs.
Consequently, the Amerindian Affairs PS, Nigel Dharamlall has been reassigned to the Ministry of Local Government and Regional Development. Additionally, in the Local Government system, the Regional Executive Officer (REO) of Region Nine, Donald Gajraj has been shifted to Region Four.
“Appointments will be confirmed soon in Regions Two, Five and possibly Three,” Dr. Luncheon said.
Among the security services, Lieutenant Colonel Mc Andrew has been assigned to the Guyana Prison Service in the capacity of deputy director in the thrust for officers to achieve ‘statecraft’ experience and skills.
Meanwhile, Lieutenant Colonel J. Persaud has been assigned to the Finance Ministry’s Accountant General Department and is likely to be appointed as the deputy.
