P&P Insurance Brokers 11-race cycle race on this weekend

NATIONAL cycle coach Hassan Mohamed will run off the 10th Annual P & P Insurance Brokers, Consultancy and Travel Agency Cycle Programme at the National Park Circuit on Saturday, beginning at 09:00 h. The feature event will see some of Guyana’s top schoolboys and novices battling over 35 laps. Apart from the cash prize and trophy, there will be eight prime prizes up for grabs.
The defending champion for this event is Leer Nunes who clocked one hour 21 minutes 35 seconds in winning the event last year.
A 10-lap race for juveniles is also on the day’s card and the defending champion is Christopher Holder who returned 25 minutes 11 seconds in winning last year’s edition of the race.
Several five-lap races will also be staged and will involve veterans over 50 and under 50 years of age as well as upright cyclists.
There will be several races for BMX boys in the age groups of 12-14 years, 9-12 years and 6-9 years.
A one-lap race for BMX girls six to twelve years of age will also be staged.
Manager/Director of P&P Insurance Brokers, Bishwa Panday, and some members of staff will be on hand to witness the day’s activity and assist with the distribution of prizes to the respective winners.
