With reference to an article published in the Freddie Kissoon column of the Kaieteur News on Thursday June 03, 2010, under the caption “I hope the President and Commissioner of Police read this”, and in which Mr. Frederick Kissoon related a conversation between himself and a CID officer at the Alberttown Police Station on June 02, 2010. The rank concerned, Sergeant 12081 Gravesande, has categorically denied the details as related by Frederick Kissoon.

Sergeant Gravesande’s response is that Frederick Kissoon came into the CID Office, along with Mark Benschop and Dale Andrews of the Kaieteur News, to enquire into the progress in relation to the matter and he informed him that he was in the process of preparing a report.

He admitted that Frederick Kissoon asked him if he had checked with NCN concerning the matter and he asked Kissoon who at NCN he should check with. Kissoon responded that he should check with the editor or his boss and then left.
