MACORP donates computer to St. Ann’s Orphanage

MACORP (Guyana), authorised distributors of Caterpillar equipment locally, on Thursday made a presentation of one desk-top computer system, complete with scanner and printer to St. Ann’s Orphanage, located on Thomas Street in the capital city. Chief Executive Officer, Mr.  Jorge Medina made the presentation to Sister Barbara, Administrator of the Orphanage, witnessed by the media; Macorp’s Finance Manager, Anita Rampersaud-Sawh and Administrative Supervisor, Althea Woodroffe.
The presentation was the second to have been made by the company to St. Ann’s Orphanage over the last few months. Recently the company financed the refurnishing of the girls’ dormitories with lockers – a gesture gratefully acknowledged by Sister Barbara, who on this occasion expressed appreciation to the donors. She said that the much needed computer will assist the girls at the Orphanage in researching as part of assignments for school.
Meanwhile, in his brief remarks Median said that his company was indeed happy to be of help to the Orphanage. He assured that it was part of the entity’s policy to be a good corporate citizen, and so be able to respond positively to the needs of such institutions as St. Ann’s Orphanage.
