Drainage in Evergreen/Paradise NDC neglected

I am saddened at the way taxpayers’ money are going down the drain by some unconcerned citizens who hold high posts. I am not talking about our President. I must commend him for doing a good job. He cannot be everywhere to look after our issues. I know how tough it is for him. I remember we had that big flooding in 2005 he immediately employed persons to work at the NDC to clean the drains so there will be a good drainage system. Well in the Evergreen /Paradise NDC; it doesn’t seems so. For the past two years the area from Better Hope to Evergreen wasn’t cleaned, thus the road trenches are silted. There are lots of antelope grass on the road shoulders and trenches. The Chairman traverses this area on many occasions and they all put a blind eye to this situation. We are in the rainy season; the drains are all clogged up and the persons employed in this area to clean the road trenches cannot do a Hymacs job to clear all the thick stuff from some of the road trenches. This is really a ridiculous situation because there are persons employed to do this job and they are STOPPED by the Evergreen / Paradise NDC Chairman from coming to clean the area between Better Hope and Evergreen because of personal problems he has with some of the residents in the area (I can attest to this). The persons who clean the road trenches are asked by the NDC. Chairman to go clean persons private property and out of the NDC’s boundaries.(One Incident in New Road – where the Charity /Urasara  NDC chairman refused to send his workers because the  dam was a private property. So because of this the area is clogged. This is negligence by the NDC. Why are we paying rates and taxes? I must commend the NDC chairman for Charity/ Urasara for cleaning the road trenches in the area everyone welcome that. The NDC Chairman in Evergreen/Paradise is high and haughty. He tells you what he wants to tell you and do what he wants to do.
Several contacts were made to the Vice Chairman, Ministry of Agriculture hotline number and the engineer in Region Two, NDC. Chairman of Evergreen/Paradise and to date no actions have been taken. We need the Minister of Local Government also our President to look into this matter with urgency please because the offices contacted are not responsible for this issue. Presently there are persons who have rice fields along the road side and when it rains the water rides over the dam and into the rice fields creating clogging up of drains.
So I am appealing to all authorities responsible to please look into this matter with urgency. We need these workers to be monitored by the Region and not the N.D.C. because the Chairman does his own thing with these workers and they cannot say anything because its their daily bread and he curses and threatens to knock them off.
