GIFTLAND OfficeMax has made its debut as a sponsor of the Hugh Ross Classic Bodybuilding & Fitness Show when they formally handed over their contribution to the organisers on Friday at their 13A Water & Holmes Streets South Cummingsburg store. Marketing Manager Compton Babb said the store, which has a department that sells gym equipment among many other things, was pleased to be playing its part in such a prominent event.
“This is our first time and we know that it will be successful and we intend to maintain support of the Classic. It is no secret, our commitment to sports and its development in Guyana and this company will continue to maintain this trend.”
Athletes Coordinator of the HRC expressed thanks to Babb and Giftland OfficeMax for flexing muscles with the organisation for the Classic which will be held on Sunday, May 2 2010 at the National Cultural Centre. Competition begins at 19:00 h.
An exhibition of products and services offered by the many sponsors of the Classic will commence at 17:30 h. A number of novelty events sponsored by GT&T Cellink will also take place before the start of the show including a number of giveaways. Tickets for the event are on sale at the National Cultural Centre.
Meanwhile, the HRC Committee’s organised Fitness Walk, sponsored by GT&T and Banks DIH Limited, is set for today around the outer circuit of the National Park starting at 06:30 h. Ministers of Sport and Health, Dr Frank Anthony and Dr Leslie Ramsammy, will be in attendance.
