PNCR Councillor calls for Good Hope Police outpost
PEOPLE’S National Congress Reform (PNCR) member of the Region Two (Pomeroon/Supenaam) Regional Democratic Council (RDC), Mrs. Marva Bowen, has called for the establishment of a Police outpost at Good Hope on the Essequibo Coast. Speaking at the last statutory meeting of the Council, she said it will be needed because of the new ferry stelling there.
Bowen said when the facility becomes fully operational, the area will be very busy with commuters and vehicles and the presence would be required, especially for controlling traffic on the roadway.
Regional Chairman, Mr. Alli Baksh, responding to the call, said it will be discussed because the wharf will be an immigration port of entry.
