International 6 led by Manniram ‘Packer’ Shew amassed 85 games to win the Andre Howard Construction sponsored dominoes match which was played at the Police Sergeants and Inspectors’ Mess, Eve Leary on Friday last.
The teams in contention were Cummings Electrical, International 6 and Howard’s Construction Services. Robert Persaud and Hilbert Ali combined their efforts with 16 games apiece while Tariq Williams supported them well with 15 games, saw International 6 romping home easily.
The final of scores of the match read, International 6 with 85 games, Howard’s Construction Services 74 games and Cummings Electrical on 62 games. Top markers in the other teams were Alvin Chase and Lyndon Howard of Howard’s Construction Services with 16 games apiece while B. La fleur of Cummings Electrical was the lone top marker with 15 games. No loves were shared for the evening.
The first and second place trophies for this event were sponsored by Andre Howard’s Construction of 175 Campbell Street, Albouystown while the MVP was sponsored by the National Sports Commission. Lyndon Howard was the recipient of the MVP after starring with 16 games and giving away 20 games in comparison to Persaud and Ali who shared 22 and 23 games away respectively.
