AN article surfaced in the Kaieteur News 24th May 2010 which has as its main idea President Jagdeo making a bid for a third term in office. This writer, who I am sure is doing his article under a pseudonym seems to do this in a roundabout manner by decrying the President’s U.N award before going on to state the real aim of his hang-up which of course is the third term issue.
I will deal with the main idea first, that is the two terms in office law. This law was formulated and successfully piloted through parliament by the PPP (Dr Cheddi Jagan) and not the bright idea of any of those who claim to embrace it now and on this same note the President himself cleared the air by publicly saying that he has no interest in another term in office. I hope this latest missive have them close their mouths and all other orifices.

Secondly, making light of the President’s UN award of Champion of the Earth is a reflection of the low mentality of this individual in his vain attempt to besmirch our head of state. Mr. Jagdeo is a Champion of the earth and no one can deny him this right, in fact, we soon will see him receive the Nobel Prize and move on to even greater things beyond that, my words are prophetic and they are true.
