I am truly proud of our President’s recent achievement in winning the United Nations’ Champion of the Earth prize.
As I’m writing this letter I cannot help smiling. Our President has brought smiles not only to me but also to many faces with this remarkable award.
I am certain that his supporters are extremely proud of him.
Mr. Jagdeo has been battling many challenges to ensure his people enjoy improved living conditions.
He has been on the forefront pushing for the Low Carbon Development Strategy (LCDS) internationally and locally and we are sure to see the benefits of it.
Now that he’s honoured by the United Nations Environment Programme (UNEP), he has given our country a higher level of recognition and we are now recognised by more countries.
I admire him for his efforts in putting Guyana forward.
