Minister of Home Affairs Clement Rohee on Tuesday told a press conference that he is pleased so far with the number of drug busts the police have made, but the main focus is finding out who imports the drugs and how they enter the country.
Rohee said that they will find out how, when, and where, and who is responsible for bringing drugs into this country.
Rohee added that the cocaine swallowers are mere transporters used by the drug traffickers and they are going after those responsible for the trafficking, the ones who hire the cocaine swallowers.
In relation to the “Pink Suitcase Bust” at CIJA, Rohee said that investigations revealed that a major drug ring was smashed and persons with “deep interest” were dealt a severe blow.
