A FOURTEEN-YEAR-OLD schoolgirl and a 21-year-old man are two of the latest suicide victims on Essequibo Coast.
A report said Navina Bisnauth, a student of Anna Regina Multilateral School, from Lima, drank a poisonous substance and was believed to be recovering at home but felt unwell last Friday and was rushed to a private hospital in Georgetown, where she died.
It is suspected that the teen took her own life because of soured relationship with a boy.
Another victim, Seadele Gafor was found hanging by the neck from a piece of rope, under his grandmother’s house at Aurora, early Monday morning.
The third, 29-year-old Nandalall Ramcharran, of Sparta, a father of two young children, one aged three years and the other a few months, took poison 19 days ago and was admitted to a city hospital where he succumbed.
He was a carpenter/mason.
Police are investigating the circumstances surrounding all the deaths.
