THREE men, on a joint burglary charge, were yesterday each put on $85,000 bail by Acting Chief Magistrate Melissa Robertson.
The trio, Orin Agare, 49, of Lot 40 Station Street, Kitty, Prince Lamaison, 36, of Lot 2466 North Ruimveldt and Christopher Yhip, 33, of Lot 58 Robb Street, Lacytown, pleaded not guilty.
The allegaton against them is that, last May 7, they broke and entered the salon of Myrtle Holder and stole a ‘Sony’ music system valued $185,000 and a set of curling irons worth $150,000, amongst the booty with a total value of $535,000.
Attorney-at-law Mr. Patrice Henry for the Defence, said it is ironic that one of the defendants is charged with damage to property.
The virtual complainant, who was in the courtroom, said she received a telephone call, informing her about the break-in and, when she arrived on the scene, the defendants were in the building.
Holder said Agare alone was apprehended and the other two escaped.
The case will be called, again, on June 8.
