– after police search unearths unlicensed shotgun
A woman is in police custody following the discovery of an illegal gun and ammunition at High Park, Mahaicony, East Coast Demerara, on Tuesday.
Police said that, at about 13:30 hrs, they conducted a search on a house  at High Park, Mahaicony Creek, during which an unlicensed shotgun and twenty six 12 gauge cartridges were found.
A woman was arrested and is in police custody assisting with the investigations.
