I’ve noticed several attacks in the press directed at the DPP and her office, most of which are related to her advice on the “pink suitcase” and are aimed at discrediting her and the DPP’s chambers. I wish to state categorically that the advice of the DPP on this matter is legally and morally correct.
This advice has disrupted the smooth flow of exporting narcotics through CJIA and the infrastructure which was put in place by these exporters.
It is public knowledge that all of these agencies operating at CJIA are involved and facilitate this operation which has brought severe embarrassment and discomfort to Guyanese travelers.
The outcome of the current high court matter will confirm the length of their tentacles.
Once again congratulations to the DPP and her staff for this advice.
