Afghans take on Ireland; Windies oppose Kiwis at Providence stadium today
WARM-UP matches and training sessions in the International Cricket Council (ICC) Twenty20 cricket competition which is being hosted by the West Indies continues today, with the host nation in action against New Zealand.

The Christopher Gayle-led West Indies team were set to face Afghanistan in a warm-up match yesterday, but due to the late arrival of the Afghans, who are making their debut in this tournament, the match was cancelled, but the Windies took the opportunity to have a practice session under the lights.
Here in Guyana, Afghanistan will have a warm- up match against Ireland, who lost to New Zealand yesterday at the Guyana National Stadium from 13:30 h while the West Indies will face New Zealand from 17:00 h in a day/night encounter at the same venue.
In Barbados, Sri Lanka will take on South Africa at the Kensington Oval from 09:30 h while Bangladesh take on England at the same venue from 13:30 h.
In St Lucia, defending champions Pakistan and Zimbabwe will have practice sessions at Mindoo Phillip Park from 09:00 h to 12:00 h and 14:00 h to 17:00 h respectively, while Australia will have their practice session at the Gros-Islet ground from 09:00 h to 12:00 h.
India’s skipper Mahendra Singh Dhoni will hold his pre-event press conference at Coco Kreole Hotel at 18:00 h.
