Miss Big, Bold & Beautiful pageant on tonight
– six full-figured women to contest
TONIGHT, one of the high-lights of the annual Linden Town Week celebrations – the Miss Big, Bold and Beautiful contest – will be staged, where six full-figured women weighing over 225 lbs, will parade themselves at the Mackenzie Sports Club for what is expected to be a highly anticipated event.

The Triple B Promotions event has become one of the most popular during this time and no doubt the organisers are looking forward to a really great night.

Speaking to Ms Camille Cummings of the Triple B Promotions Group, the Guyana Chronicle was informed that “the objective is to provide a quality and respectful avenue for such women to further develop, express and showcase their artistic and natural abilities of the big modern women.”
Each contestant will have, as her platform, the various creeks to be found in Linden. The contestants are Barbara Duggan (Ms Rashion Creek), Jeann Regis (Ms Theatre Creek), Marilyn Baker (Ms Jack Luther Creek),  Nichola Bryan (Ms Binning Creek), Samantha Williams (Ms Heavens Mother Creek) and the heaviest of them all, 300-plus-pounder Shondell Park (Ms Kara Kara Creek).
The show starts at 20:00 hrs with performers on stage, among whom will be GT&T Cellink 2009 Jingle and Song winner Ms Malika Boyd; Neville Austin; the Mike James Drama Group and 2009 Calypso Monarch, Ras Charles.
