FIELD Assistant of the President’s Youth Award: Republic of Guyana (PYARG) programme in Region Two (Pomeroon/Supenaam), Mr. Herald Alves has announced that two clubs were formed at Wakapoa, in lower Pomeroon and Capoey, another Amerindian community on Essequibo Coast.
He said    at the launching ceremonies, of both, many youths attended and expressed their desire to participate in PYARG activities.
Alves said community leaders were elected for each club.
He said youths will be engaged in traditional craft making, canoeing, swimming and a self-help project to construct a play park.
Alves said the objective is to promote youth endeavours and foster relationships with adults in various communities.
Unit Leader of Wakapoa, Mr. Dennis Persaud said he is very happy to be involved and is looking forward to working with the youths in his community.
