Banks DIH pumps $2.5M into Regatta and Jet Ski stunt show

… Castrol and Digicel also on board
LOCAL beverage manufacturing giant Banks DIH and Castrol yesterday announced their alliance with the May 1 and 2 Regatta and International Jet Ski stunt show, set for the Splashmin’s Fun Park on the Linden/Soesdyke Highway.
At two separate presentations, SASS the promotional group responsible for staging the event, received $2.5M Banks DIH and $200 000 from Castrol.
According to Banks DIH Marketing Executives Carlton Joao, his company is more than pleased to be part of an event of such nature, since Region 4 is not known for staging boat racing (Regatta).
The same words were echoed by the representatives of Castrol who said their support comes because of that given to their company by the racers from the Bartica and Essequibo areas.
SASS Promotions Executive Shelliza Allie told Chronicle Sports that so far, support for the event that will feature a world renowned stuntman from Sao Paulo Brazil, has been overwhelming and that they are ready to leave a vivid picture in the minds of the thousands that are expected to flock the resort at the conclusion of the two days.
Fifteen boat races and three Jet Ski stunt shows are planed for the show which will be officially opened on May 1 at 11:00 h. Several key Government officials are expected to deliver brief remarks.
