The Linden Chamber of Commerce, with assistance from Go-Invest, will be hosting a Linden exposition and trade show to coincide with the activities to mark the town’s 40th Anniversary. The exposition will begin on April 30 and conclude on May 2, 2010, at the Egbert Benjamin Conference Hall.
Senior Vice President of the Linden Chamber of Commerce, Mr. Marvin Burns, stated that the exposition will highlight the trade and investment opportunities in the Region. He said the trade show will also give residents the opportunity to showcase their goods regionally.
Burns said Brazil and Suriname are expected to be apart of the trade show and noted that the exposition is about interlinking the regional trade and investment opportunities.
Secretary of the Linden Chamber of Commerce, Ms. Sheena Bristol, said the focus of the exposition is to use Linden as a hub for regional trading. She said during the exposition, seminars will be kept for business persons on trading and managing their businesses.
Bristol said there are 60 available booths and so far 30 have already been booked. She urged other businesses and small manufacturers to get involved in the trade show and be a part of the celebrations to mark Linden’s 40th Anniversary.
According to Mr. Burns, the Chamber raised $1.27M to fund the event and was given additional assistance from the Ministry of Tourism and the Go-Invest.
