Management of the Georgetown Public Hospital is currently investigating the death of 70-year-old Winston Watley, of Lot 51 Laing Avenue, Georgetown. Watley’s son told the Guyana Chronicle that his father died at the GPHC Sunday afternoon, and he alleged that this happened after the oxygen his father desperately needed ran out.
Watley was a former guard of GEB Security Service.
Management at the public health care facility contends that a post mortem will determine the cause of death, and advised that sections of the media should not publish stories with haste.
A statement from the GPHC indicates that Watley arrived at the hospital in a critical state and was admitted to the Medical Ward as a result of his diagnosis.
GPH says post mortem will determine cause of Watley’s death
