ACTING  Chief Magistrate Melissa Robertson yesterday refused bail to Stephon Campbell also called Burnham who is charged with unlawful wounding. The 18-year-old defendant,  of Lot 145 James Street, Albouystown, pleaded not guilty to the offence, particulars of which said, on April 10, at Front Road, West Ruimveldt, also in Georgetown, he unlawfully and maliciously wounded Melroy Pole.
The victim told the Court he suffered a stab wound to his groin and it happened while they were all at a dance and a misunderstanding arose between him and the others.
Pole said he was surrounded and beaten by the men who threatened, in the early hours of the morning, to murder him before daylight.

Campbell will remain a remanded prisoner until April 29.
