Feud over ganja leads to wounding charge

A FEUD over ganja (illegal marijuana) led to the wounding charge against Randy Bourne alias ‘Futu’, 34, of Lot 37 Ketley Street, Charlestown, Georgetown, Police Inspector Stephen Telford, prosecuting, disclosed last Friday.
The Prosecutor made the disclosure when the defendant appeared before Acting Chief Magistrate Melissa Robertson, charged with unlawful wounding.

Particulars of the offence said the defendant, who pleaded not guilty, is alleged to have unlawfully and maliciously wounded Rhon Grant last March 30.
Grant, 39, who lives at the same address as Bourne,  also pleaded not guilty to an assault charge which said, the same day, he unlawfully assaulted Bourne so as to cause him actual bodily harm.
After the Prosecutor said the defendants are neighbours in different apartments on the same premises, Bourne was remanded to prison and Grant was allowed $40,000 bail, until they both return to Court on April 27.
