ALEX Bourne (no address given) was yesterday sentenced to three years imprisonment and fined $30,000 for drug trafficking.
Before Magistrate Hazel Octave-Hamilton, he pleaded guilty to being in possession of seven grammes cannabis (marijuana) for the purpose on March 9 and begged for mercy, claiming he is a first offender.
But the magistrate informed the prisoner that she cannot go outside of what the statute stipulates.
