Booty was recovered from burglary defendant

– Prosecutor
EON Paul, 31, of Lot 2494 Ozama Street, North Ruimveldt, Georgetown, was granted $70,000 bail yesterday on a charge of break and enter and larceny.
He appeared before Acting Chief Magistrate Melissa Robertson and pleaded not guilty to having, between February 26 and 27, broken into the bond at  Discount Store and stolen seven pairs of shoes valued $25,000, property of Rickwan Khan.

Police Inspector Stephen Telford, prosecuting, said the booty was recovered from the defendant after he was seen committing the crime and apprehended.

The prosecutor said another person, who was with Paul, escaped from the arresting security guard.

But Paul maintained that he was at the back of the business place when he saw a bag containing the items and picked it up.

The case has been postponed to March 18.
