GFF/K&S/Haiti Football Federation fundraiser …

USA-based Mark Lee injects $150 000 towards cause
USA-BASED Guyanese Mark Lee, a long-time friend and supporter of the Kashif & Shanghai Organisation, has stepped up to throw in his lot to the Haiti Football Federation’s (HFF) fundraising double-header, organised by the Guyana Football Federation in association with the K&S Organisation, this evening at the GCC ground, Bourda.

Yesterday afternoon at the K&S office on Irving Street, Georgetown, an elated Lee handed over the $150 000 cheque to Kashif Muhammad.
Lee said he read up about the initiative by the GFF and K&S and felt the need to immediately chip in since the cause was worthwhile and needed.
“I really believe that this is a great initiative by the two entities to organise this double-header for the HFF. I think that any help and aid is not too much at all for the people of Haiti and the HFF since it requires a whole lot to rebuild this city so we need to give whatever we can afford.”
Lee said he was very impressed with all the other efforts made by Guyanese to assist their fellow Caricom country.
He is urging football lovers and supporters to come out this evening and support a worthy cause.
This evening’s double-header features Bakewell Topp XX and Pele in the opening game at 18:00 h with the main event between BK International Western Tigers and Alpha United. Kick-off time is 20:00 h.
