Opposition's budget criticisms a rehash of their seasonal renditions

THE opposition AFC/PNCR choir is on stage with their seasonal rendition “there is nothing new in the budget,” a well anticipated performance at budget time each year.
The PPP/C Administration has presented budgets over the years that identify and highlight major developmental objectives which have been and are being undertaken in consistent allocations.
Guyanese have seen the numerous successes of these allocations which has been responsible for the transformative landscape in the social and economic life of our country.
The operative word being used in the opposition’s rehearsed rendition is “new.” Their contention is revealing of their dishonesty as the 2010 budget does identify new and ambitious initiatives to continue the development pattern.
It may be instructive to remember the trickery of those in opposition now that were in Government that confused the populace with new features in their annual budget as a mask get-away of their empty promises and charade for raiding the national coffers for personal benefits.
In face of all the international and other reports that points to the positive growth of Guyana’s economy and significant tangible evidence of our development under the PPP/C Administration, the critics are at their usual trade of trying to deny these realities.
It is the PPP/C Administration prudent governance that has those conscious-minded Guyanese impressed with the pace of development though there is need to for more resources and room for improvement.
You can expect the usual ranting about the budget and criticisms that plunge out from the most barefaced and presumptuous elements on the opposition platform. What else is the job of critics, losers whose only boast is about the negativity they generate on a daily basis?
If you occupy yourself with the negative thought, deeds and utterances of individuals, then you deprive yourself of the positives in life.
