DIGICEL yesterday displayed its Mashramani 2010 costumes, with three models wearing brightly coloured ones, which depicted pollination, as they gyrated to popular soca songs at the company’s Lot 8 Fort and Barrack Streets, Kingston, Georgetown headquarters. The designer, Olympia Small-Sonaram told the media that, for this year, she is using newer fabrics under the theme ‘Pollination’ and adopted that concept to showcase her creativity.
Consequently, she explained that the Humming Bird, the honey bee and the Hibiscus flower will be mostly featured for what they depict.
Small-Sonaram said the costumes are a combination of colours such as red, yellow, silver and green.
Head of Marketing, Ms. Jacqueline James issued an invitation to members of the public to ‘Mash with Digicel’ in costumes that are available free of cost.
She said the 2010 ‘Mash fete’ will be bigger and Digicel will be in the large band category.
James expects more than 100 persons to join their band and said all refreshments also will be free to participants.
Public Relations Officer Shonett Moore declared Digicel is here to win and have fun.
