A GIRL, 14, was yesterday remanded into Police custody on a murder charge.

She appeared before Acting Chief Magistrate Melissa Robertson, accused of committing the capital offence, on December 26, 2009, by unlawfully killing Georgina John.

The investigating policeman told the Court the victim and the teen were drinking when an argument arose between them and the latter fatally stabbed John on her chest.

The case matter was called to the Bench where the accused said she cannot recall what transpired that Boxing Day.
The case has been transferred to Matthews Ridge Court for May 4.
