GUYANA and West Indies female cricketer Shemaine Campbell will lead a strong Rose Hall Town Metro team in the final of the Guyana Cricket Board (GCB) senior women’s inter-district limited overs competition against East Coast at the Demerara Cricket Club ground tomorrow.
Fellow female West Indies players Tremayne Smartt and Erva Giddings are also included in the team which will be managed by the club’s organising secretary Moonish Singh and coached by Rose Hall Town Gizmos and Gadgets first division player Ravi Narine.
Not to be outdone, East Coast do have several players who have worn the national colours that they can call on, including skipper RB Sewnarine and Darlene Gale, along with junior national player Nayesha Khan and the vast improving Shinea Emerson.
The final eleven for both teams will be chosen from:
Rose Hall Town Metro: Shemaine Campbell, Tremayne Smartt, Erva Giddings, Melanie Henry, Jacqueline Singh, Nikita Toney, Nirmala Sewdat, Teneisha Leonard, Shenella McBean, Phaffiana Millington, Tessa Park, Sarita Kumar, Onika Tello, Hermala Sewdat and Ceylon Daniels.
East Coast: RB Sewnarine, Darlene Gale, Haseena Mohammed, Kavita Yadram, Shinea Emerson, Nayesha Khan, Anjanie Lallbachand, Angela Walron, Reneka Isaacs, Atina Barry, Amanda Shivprashad, Beverly Nicholas and Sheamma Hoppie.
The action, which will be a 40-overs-a-side match, is expected to get under way at 11:00 h.
