Engaging its Diaspora has become an important aspect of India’s growth strategy. And it was no surprise that the theme of the 8th Pravasi Bharatiya Divas (PBD) in New Delhi, India, was “Engaging the Diaspora: the way forward.”

In New Delhi, University of Guyana Pro-Chancellor Dr Prem Misir delivered a power-point presentation in the session on “Leveraging Knowledge networks: Global-Ink.”

Professor of Economics and Law at Columbia University, Professor Jagdish Bhagwati presented the first PBD’s Distinguished Global Indian Oration Series, while Dr Misir made some observations on his presentation in Sunday Chronicle of January 10, 2010
