Police hunting Tappin’s killer

Police yesterday said that several persons are being questioned as they hunt for the prime suspect in the Old Year’s Day murder of Wendell Tappin.

Tappin, 23, of 88 James Street, Albouystown, Georgetown, was involved in an argument with another man who inflicted stab wounds to his chest and escaped.

The incident occurred at about 16:00h on December 31, 2009, at Hill Street, Albouystown.

Tappin was taken to the Georgetown Public Hospital where he was pronounced dead on arrival.
Tappin was reportedly stabbed to death during a row over a cell phone.
