The Guyana Police Force (GPF) yesterday reminded the general public that the importation, possession and/or sale of squibs and firecrackers without the relevant licence approved by the competent authority are in contravention of the Explosives Act Chapter 16:06. This also applies to the usage of such articles.

The police will be vigilant in this regard with a view to identifying and prosecuting offenders.
