BRAVO to Nicolette Fernandes for her recent success as champion at the 2009 Greek Squash Championship and I believe that this qualifies her for the sports personality of 2009. At the same time, I hope she continues to be consistent and display this kind of performance with future competitions.
Making it as a 2010 calendar personality is also an additional bonus for Guyana been highlighted and from the photo shoot, she is definitely an international magazine cover material.
After viewing a broadcast interview last weekend via television with the new kid on the block, artiste “Montana,” I believe this individual is very innovative and should he stick to what he preaches and keep his music clean, he will be able to take Guyana places.
A favourite project of mine was to witness the erection of the Takutu Bridge connecting us to other fellow South American destinations and I was even more joyful to learn about the scrapping of the tourist visa system.
I might very well not be able to experience my lifelong destinations in Europe and the Arab World (mainly Israel and Dubai), but I will settle for a South American experience. I was fortunate to taste it in the past and it has been quite exciting and I can tell you, SA has got some very interesting historical sites and history.
A new love of mine is Argentina and my visit would not be complete without learning and dancing the Argentine Tango.
