The Office of the President has expressed condolences on the passing of Mrs. Doreen Chung, wife of the late President of Guyana, Mr. Arthur Chung. She died yesterday at a local hospital after a brief illness.

President Chung served from 1970 to 1980.

Mrs. Chung leaves to mourn her two children – Diane Pamela and Raymond Arthur (Jnr).

“The Government and people of Guyana offer their condolences to the family and friends of the Chungs on the passing of this fine Guyanese woman,” the Office of the President said.
