President of the Guyana Squash Association (GSA) Ronald Burch-Smith is elated at the recognition that his association is receiving as a result of their continued dominance on the Caribbean squash scene as they claimed another Caribbean title at the recently concluded junior championships.
In light of their achievements Burch-Smith along with GSA vice-president Lloyd Fung-A-Fat, Guyana Olympic Association’s assistant secretary/treasurer Garfield Wiltshire and a section of this year’s junior team, Keisha and Kayla Jeffrey, Mary Fun-A-Fat, Akeila and Larissa Wiltshire, Nyron Joseph, Gabriella Fernandes and Deje Dias, had an audience with Minister of Culture, Youth and Sport Dr. Anthony at his office on Wednesday.
The GSA boss was very pleased with this and noted that the ministry has always been very supportive of squash and as such will be building public squash courts at Non-Pariel.
Burch-Smith said that his association, both the players and managerial body, works hard to achieve their results and as such he is happy that the minister extended such and invitation (Storme Moore).
