Enterprise/Non Pariel group acquires brush cutters

Members of Enterprise/Non Pariel, East Coast Demerara Multi Purpose Farmers Co-op Society recently received the sum of US$12,000 from the Enterprise Support Group based in the United States.

Chairman of the Society, Chandrika Rampal, 69, said that the money was used to purchase two brush cutters.

He added that they manage a farm aback of the village and the machines are used to cut weeds.

Mr. Rampal noted that the produce of bora, peppers, boulanger, tomatoes, and cabbages, among other vegetables, are usually sold at the village market.

He explained that 56 members are part of the group and they all maintain the farm which helps to sustain their families.
