SINCE Mr. Selwyn Vaughn, star witness for the Americans in the Roger Khan saga, was able to work under Roger Khan whom the Americans say was part of the “Phantom Squad” and since he was able to work under “Fineman” who the Americans say was part of the Buxton Gang the question has to be asked as to how Mr. Selwyn Vaughn was able to convince “Fineman” that he was genuinely working for the Buxton Gang as well as how was Mr. Vaughn able to convince Roger Khan that he was genuinely working for The Phantom Squad?

Obviously, the colour of his skin (or, my preference, his hair-style) was not used to convince either party since in Guyana there are army officers who genuinely serve Guyana in that they stay out of politics (regardless of the kith n’ kin call as they also knew Dr Walter Rodney was kith n’ kin also), army officers who are pro-government and army officers who are anti-government as well.

How many people did he have to murder to convince both enemies that he was a part of their organisation which he may have done since Roger Khan trusted him to deliver the goods to terminate the Buxton Gang?

Obviously Mr. Selwyn Vaughn has to be a very accomplished actor to fool both Roger Khan and ‘Fineman” as he sought to play one against the other. “Fineman” and Roger Khan would be termed as men who do not trust people easily. So they would be adept at detecting people who were posing as accomplices as opposed to real gang members.

Roger Khan was sent to the big USA by the use of ‘rendition’. And, confessed Buxton gang member Mr. Selwyn Vaughn was in Guyana with his team of baby-killers “Fineman” and the Buxton gang living it up at the demise at his/their supposedly arch-enemy Roger Khan. Then Mr. Selwyn Vaughn goes to America after having a little chat with Mr. Robert Simels (defence lawyer of Roger Khan) and the Americans, understanding that he was part of the “Buxton Gang,” welcomes him with open arms and yet did not even bother to inform the local police force that they were correct in saying that the “Buxton Gang” was in operation. Nor, did they inform Guyana that the “Buxton Gang” was about to butcher five little children in Lusignan. This would be what a genuine law enforcement agency concerned about peoples’ safety would do. Unless, of course, the law enforcement agency played a little part in the game and it was basically an intelligence operation that went sour. Then it would be understandable as the Agency would seek total deniability. Hence, no information of the “Buxton Gang” was sent to Guyana!
