The three friends killed at Providence Public Road, East Bank Demerara, in an early morning accident Friday are likely to be buried today.
The friends, Asheeki Asgarally, Richard Chimien and James Sookdeo were in a motor car reportedly driven by Farood Mohammed, the lone survivor.
Police said the accident occurred about 01:15 h when the quartet, all from Covent Garden, were in the vehicle when the driver lost control, causing it to slam into the base of a power pole on the Providence Public Road.
James Sookdeo, called Peter, 23, of 50 Covent Garden, will be interred this afternoon at the Little Diamond Cemetery, also on the East Bank Demerara.
He is survived by a 17-month-old son, and his wife Priya Mohan, 20.
And Asgarally, 20, an employee at the Cheddi Jagan International Airport (CIJA), and his neighbour, Richard Chimien, will also be buried at the Little Diamond Cemetery this afternoon.
