THE Pro-Chancellor of the University of Guyana, Dr Prem Misir, has been invited as a Visiting Professor by the Anton de Kom University of Suriname, to conduct a series of lectures on the evaluation of Health Promotion and Education Programmes.
A statement yesterday from Dr Misir’s Office said the course addresses the systematic evaluation of the quality, effectiveness, and impact of clinical and education policies, programs, and projects.
The findings of programme evaluations present practitioners, administrators, educators, legislators, and the public with information on how precisely programmes meet the community’s needs, the Office of the UG Pro-Chancellor said.
Dr Misir has had an extensive scholarly career and is the author of seven (7) books.
His series of lectures via his Visiting Professorship will commence on July 30th, 2007 and end on August 11th, 2009.
