School of the Nations still celebrating

The administration and staff of School of the Nations are still celebrating their successes at the recent National Grade Six Assessment (NGSA) as they settle into their new location at 41-42 New Market Street.

The 28 students who sat the NGSA excelled and a 100 percent pass rate was realised.

New Guyana School student Elijah Bobb, in particular, did his school proud as he copped the coveted third position in Guyana’s top 10 with 563 marks.

Of the students who wrote the exams, 36 percent were awarded positions at senior secondary schools: five at Queen’s College, three at The Bishops’ High , one at St. Rose’s High, and one at St. Stanislaus College.

The other 64 percent were awarded places at fifth form secondary schools.

The principal of the school, Mrs. Christine Brisport asserted that congratulations were extended to all the students who made proud those around them.
