A recent letter by Neil Adams regarding the University of Guyana’s Law programme and UWI support my contention that Guyana must not allow itself to be dominated by CARICOM or its member institutions.
There is a distinct bias against Guyana and it will continue to cause us a lot of problems if not our independence if there was a political union. The truth is that there is little difference how Guyanese are treated regardless of race or class. All agreements with CARICOM must be first beneficial to us and enforceable. We need to develop other international trading partners as quickly as possible. We need fair trade not just free trade.
