The crème de la crème artistes are currently ruling the airwaves in Nigeria, and have been confirmed to perform at the premium Awards ceremony, alongside other great personalities from within and outside Nigeria, including two foreign artistes.

According to SoundCity Brand Manager, Ms Tega Omoru, the 2009 Soundcity Music Video Awards will be in celebration of Music Videos that best represent the concepts and adaptability of music works for television in the period under review. It also proposes to celebrate innovation and creativity beyond the performing artistes, and to extend to music video producers, directors, cinematographers, video editors, choreographers, and other craftsmen and women who facilitated the works, and helped the viewing target realize their preferences.

The ceremony will commence with the usual Red Carpet affair at 17:00hrs sharp.

The Urban Music Blast Concert, on the other hand, is to be held on the previous day, Friday July 31, at the same venue at the Awards Ceremony, beginning at 22:00hrs.

Both events, Omoru said, will be transmitted across Africa, the United States, the United Kingdom, and some parts of Europe.

A remarkable collection of Nigerian Music stars have also been lined up to perform at the one-of-a-kind Awards.
