A teenager is a patient at the Kwakwani Hospital after she was shot by her boyfriend during an argument on Sunday night at Jeep Landing, Kwakwani Water Front.

Police reported that at about 22:00h Sunday, Ann Louden, 18, of Lamp Island, Kwakwani, was shot and injured in her right hip.

Louden and a man with whom she has a relationship had an argument during which she was shot. At the time the man was armed with a firearm belonging to a security company to which he is attached.

The suspect has been arrested and is in police custody assisting with investigations.
