The Ministry of Housing and Water, Guyana Water Inc. (GWI), in collaboration with the McDoom Assembly of God Church, held an HIV/AIDS Conference on Saturday last at Houston Primary School, East Bank Demerara.

The Central Housing and Planning Authority (CH&PA) conducted the seminar for students, children and residents of Houston, dealing with the effects of water and housing in the fight against HIV/AIDS.

GWI Chief Executive, Yuri Chandisingh, explained the challenges that GWI is facing in providing an adequate water supply and helping in the fight against HIV/AIDS.

GWI Public Relations Officer (PRO), Mr. Rawle Aaron also delivered a power point presentation highlighting how water helps in the fight against HIV/AIDS.

The one-day seminar also demonstrated to students how they can work together using the information to fight against and to assist persons living with the virus.
