Pregnant drug accused secures bail in High Court

PREGNANT Susan Hubbard (no address given) was yesterday remanded to prison, by Magistrate Hazel Octave-Hamilton, on a drug charge.

The expectant mother was charged indictably with being in possession of 250 grammes cannabis (marijuana), on June 18 at Millie’s Hideout, on Soesdyke/ Linden Highway, for the purpose of trafficking.

However, following the denial by the magistrate, Hubbard was granted $200,000 bail, on an application by attorney-at-law Mr. Adrian Thompson, in the High Court.

The accused is due back in the lower Court on June 24.
