RUDOLPH Walcott, 47, of Lot 137 Alexander Street, Kitty, Georgetown, was yesterday bonded to keep the peace for one year, on conviction for using threatening language.
Before Acting Chief Magistrate Melissa Robertson, who made him sign the bond, the probationer pleaded guilty to having threatened Jagdeo Pareshram on June 12.
Police Corporal Munilall Seetaram, prosecuting, said the virtual complainant and the defendant are neighbours living in the same building and the former is known to threaten the latter.
Walcott, however, claimed that, in the course of doing repairs to his store, he left some plywood outside but returned the next day to find it was gone.
He declared the only person who could have taken his property was Pareshram.
